…As the Earth rose blue and beautiful over the lunar horizon, the Weaver faded. “Return tomorrow,” she whispered. “But beware the one who follows.” Aris turned, and in the distance, she saw a faint glint—a rover’s headlight. Her heart sank. Elias Vance was coming. She hurried back to her own rover, her mind racing. The moon’s secret was fragile, precious. She would have to be careful. But for now, she carried the warmth of the Weaver’s voice in her heart, and that was enough. As she drove away, the crater of first laughter glowed softly behind her, a beacon of hope in the vast, silent dark.
