She moved towards the cell door, her presence a tangible disruption of the dungeon’s oppressive atmosphere. Archius followed, his heart a drumbeat of anticipation and fear, the weight of his past a heavy anchor, but the hope of freedom, a newly kindled flame, pushing him forward. The Emperor’s wrath was a storm brewing, but Archius, for the first time since his capture, felt a flicker of his old resolve, a soldier’s instinct to face the tempest head-on.
