…We moved through the darkened streets, a silent, determined procession. The city slept, unaware of the dark ritual about to unfold in its hidden folds. The air grew colder, the silence deeper, as we ventured further from the neon glow, into the heart of the encroaching night. The unspoken agreement, the dangerous spark, had ignited a fire, and we were standing at its very epicentre, ready to embrace the consuming flames. The sense of belonging was intoxicating, but so too was the chilling realization that this was a journey from which there was no easy return, a dance with death that had just begun its final, terrifying waltz. The night held its breath, waiting for us to seal our fate.
