Previously

…Ayanda’s fear of being alone had not vanished, but it had been held at bay by Thandolwethu’s unwavering presence. And Thandolwethu, in her quiet way, had found her voice, discovering that her steady nature could be a powerful source of strength for both herself and her beloved friend. They had chosen their friendship, actively and deliberately, and in doing so, they had not only saved Ayanda’s immediate future but had also deepened the roots of a sisterhood that felt as ancient and as enduring as the land itself. The storm had tested them, but it had not broken them; instead, it had revealed the unwavering strength of their connection, a beacon of hope against the gathering clouds of life.
