There was a photograph attached. It showed Celeste standing outside the station entrance, taken just minutes earlier. But beneath it was a second image. A close-up of Celeste's face, taken from inside Room 12. Someone had been watching them. The message contained only one sentence. “ASK HER WHICH GIRL CAME HOME.” Maya slowly turned toward Celeste.
