The gnome, with its perpetually furrowed brow and chipped red hat, seemed to glare at Ashtin’s watery revelry. Perhaps it was the gnome’s disapproving gaze, or perhaps it was the irresistible allure of the mud that was beginning to form around the sprinkler’s eruption, but Ashtin felt
