I have decided to count them as assets on my personal balance sheet, at the value assigned at issuance — one hundred litai each, equal to the promise, equal to the hope, equal to the sentence left unfinished on the back. My par value is the same as his. We believe in the words on the paper, whether or not the market agrees.
