…She grabbed her jacket, slipped the phone into her pocket, and walked out the door without looking back. The night air hit her face, cool and sharp. The streets were empty, the city asleep. Above, the stars were scattered like forgotten diamonds. She didn't know where the path would lead. She didn't know if she was still a weapon or finally a person.
