…A beginning. Kam Kam, her heart soaring, carefully approached the Glowing Flower. She reached out and, with the beast standing watch beside her, gently plucked a single blossom. The flower pulsed in her hand, its light a warm, comforting presence. She looked at the beast, a silent question in her eyes. It responded with a soft, almost mournful sound, then turned and began to walk slowly away, as if inviting her to follow. Kam Kam, holding the precious flower carefully, followed the beast, leaving the clearing behind, a new understanding blooming within her, as radiant as the flower she carried. The journey back to the village, she knew, would be just as important as the journey in.
