A Knight to Remember (Or Forget)

…More interesting. That was another word for it. I’d gone into this expecting to be a knight. I’d emerged… well, I wasn’t entirely sure what I’d emerged as. But for the first time in my life, I felt like I’d actually accomplished something. Something important. Even if it involved more pratfalls than prowess. As I followed Aurelia and her relieved father into the castle, my armor clanking a slightly less pathetic rhythm, I couldn’t help but think that maybe, just maybe, being a knight wasn’t my true calling after all. Maybe my true calling involved more tripping, more falling, and a whole lot more laughter. And who knew? Maybe a dragon could be a pretty good roadie.
