…Brenda sighed, a long, shaky sigh. She looked at the three silly puppies, their earnest faces filled with concern, and then at the wise old owl. She seemed to make a decision. "Alright," she said, her voice barely a whisper. "You caught me. I… I took the fireworks." The puppies gasped. Baby Blue Bears’ jaw dropped. Dottie’s eyes went wide. Russo just stared, his tail frozen mid-wag. "You did?" Baby Blue Bears finally managed to squeak out. "But… why? And what about Mr. Sparkle?"
