…The harmonious symphony of the Double World, which had always soothed their soul, now held a faint, discordant note, a question mark hanging in the air. Alex walked home, their heart still thrumming with a new, uninvited feeling. They were still contented, yes, but now, beneath the surface of that contentment, a quiet curiosity had begun to stir, a curiosity that hinted at the possibility that even in a world of perfect pairs, there might be something more to discover.
